For those who are always whining about grammar; well you don't have to read. it's free writing; because, i don't have the time for that.

Fact: According to the anime episode 120, Minato said that his kunai signal him of danger.
Now for the other part that you all know. Minato is a sensor and his reflexes was the best and the fastest ninja of the naruto world.
If you get what i am saying; then, it is pretty obvious why no one were able to even touch him.
The reason is because his s/t notify him when danger is on his way.furthermore, his s/t barrier can suck up most jutsu and weapon.

yeah hes got good or avg kage level chakra but hes got the highest level of skill beyond any other. which makes him almost impossible to beat only way i see him losing is to some bull genjutsu... genjutsu shouldnt exist its a auto ko for anyone without genjutsu skills. its only use was on fodder and a genjutsu vs genjutsu battle . genjutsu exists only for kishi favorite character itachi and his ko factor. think about it who actually uses genjutsu no one that who

There is evidence in the manga that implies that he can sense danger through the kunai when he decided to give one to Kakashi so he could help protect him from far away, but I don't think this sensing is the same a, lets say, sage mode.
