So, me and my friend were talking yesterday and an interesting question I'd like to ask the rest of you came up.

From which perspective are we exposed to more of the world?

Pessimist: Negative outlook on life

Optimist: Positive outlook on life

Negative, I mean look at the news.

Well, as a pessimistic optimist, I truly feel that the world is optimistically pessimistic.

^Translation; it depends on the person, if they're a pessimist, then sure, everything's negative. If optimistic, then it's more positive.

I see things with the glass half full perspective, but at the same time that sucker's half empty. Hmmm...so I guess I'm right in the middle: hence a pessimistic optimist. I'm in the gray zone, yet see both sides completely...makes for a great devil's advocate, don'tcha' think? xd

Why do people say it's the negative aspect, when the majority actually is exposed to the positive aspect?

Oh and please, don't believe everything you read on a newspaper or watch on the news. Remember, whoever controls the media, controls everything.

Generally speaking, we are all more or less exposed to a very negative out look on life. Someone has mentioned the news and he couldn't be anymore correct. Fruitless wars are being waged, nations entering and recovering from civil war and a fuck load of stereotypes thus creating prejudice people in the end.

As far as I'm concerned, if you're the type to go through life with a happy-go lucky attitude then you're no different from a cave man. Sure I'd like to be optimistic as fuck but unfortunately for me, I'm not a total idiot nor am I ballin'.

Also, our seniors in this game known as life are mostly pessimistic ( or am I just acquainted with the wrong people ? ) and our primary and secondary social influences greatly impact on our personalities which ultimately leads us to be either a pessimist or an optimist.

If I didn't make sense then you are an idiot or I really didn't make sense.​

Agreed man, trying to feel positive and happy all the time is to ignore what's precious, sacred and valuable. People get fooled by it and when it comes to different problems, these kind of people ignore them. Give me a break you easily-amused optimistic happy robots.

When people are ignorant and stuck in their own world, they find things in life are optimistic, because they're blind to the reality of this world. That's where that saying 'ignorant is bliss' comes from, right?

When you open your eyes and see there's war everywhere, technology is making people lazy as hell, people hardly think for themselves - listening obediently to lie filled media, people hardly give a damn about innocent lives perishing every second...when you feel that only about 1% of people are purehearted, another 10% that are neutral and trustworthy...and the rest are filled immorality.

I'm personally a realist, I'm patient and try to look at the silver lining in things most of the time. But if a situation is 99% of a fail, being optimistic about it is kinda silly.
