Bleach ._. that's simply a must-watch, may not be the best anime out there but it's too mainstream to not watch it and it will keep you entertained for a couple of hundred episodes.

- Clannad (Best romance I have ever seen, it has two seasons, one with 23 episodes and the other with 24 episodes, but it is very much worth the length)
- Steins;Gate (Awesome mystery thriller story, starts off slow but gets going by the halfway point and creates an utterly amazing plot, 24 episodes)

Gurren Lagann is a must-watch, SAO doesn't appeal to everyone but I think it's awesome.
