I haven't played since middle school. I'm now going into my 2nd year of high school and now my parents decide to let me play football. Idk why. But its cray. I played wrestling and Lacrosse last year so I'm in shape and all.
But I'm only 5'6 - 5'7" and weight 122. I'm not really skinny but I have some muscle

My middles school years I was a outside linebacker & cornerback. andi was also defensive captain but now I feel like everyone that I've played with back then are a whole tier ahead of me. & since the coach knows them more, I'd most likely ride bench the whole season. Compared to all the other teammates (JV) I buffer & faster than most and I have the build of a RB or WR. But all I know how yo do is play defense I never played offense.

And my final problem is idk if their gonna be any positions left for defense -,-

Should I still try or just in invest in something else?

All I could say is give it a shot bra. If you love the sport well enough then go for it.

Before you try out.

You need to get your weight and speed up.

High School football is definitely a higher level than middle school.

If your 122 Ibs your probably going to get thrown around and ran over.

I was 5'10 and 135 as a sophomore in high school. Everyone will be bigger and stronger than you. That's not a disadvantage. I played tight end and d end. My senior year I was 6'1 207 and I started at left tackle. Just go for it and live in the weight room. Eat good food and get sleep. Start practice early. Be the last guy to leave. Show the coaches that you want to be there

If you put a lot of years into football then get back into it. No need to waste the talent you had.

I played soccer since I was in 1st grade. I haven't been on a team since 8th grade. I tried out for JV in high school but didn't make it because I missed a couple days which were vital. I was sick. I still play it. I'm not as competitive in it as I was, unlike Lacrosse I started playing around my sophomore year in high school and I love it. That as well I haven't been playing much due to work and the USMC.

I'd stick with football. If you have a lot of experience with it, get better and you can probably play in college and maybe pro ball.

That's my opinion though dude.

Sounds to me you would be a good runnerback but it depends if your really into wrestling because you will probably have to gain more muscle to play the position.
