1: Do not make him do something if it's your dream and not his.
2: The world of boxing is very corrupt and either you become one of the few greats or you are used as a punching bag.
3: If you think boxing will ensure him a happy life, maybe you need to rethink it. A job which takes a lot more than it gives.
4: People have started boxing in their 20's and gone on to become champions.
5: I started boxing when I was 18. By the time I was 20 I started fighting and was making papers. You can achieve a lot from 18, it's not too late but it is about putting extra effort in and knowing you are in the same league as those who started early.
Edit: It appears you have little or no idea about boxing from this thread. I assumed you were at least a boxer to have made some assumptions about how it works...
In my case however, even though I knew I had a potential career in boxing I decided to be happy that I had chosen to do something not to reach fame but rather to test myself and see If I could. I then went on to be a boxing instructor and fought and sparred with some pro's. I did not want to make a career out of it as I do not like hurting anyone and have a sympathetic nature which would be abused in the industry. Boxing is something people normally succeed in if there is no other way. It does not guarantee happiness though and likely any sane person will choose to meet someone, fall in love and find a path which doesn't involve pain, isolation and for most no success.

the idea came from hajime no ippo, i boxed before but i liked karate better and now i just want the WBA,WBC,WBO AND IBF ON MY WASTE.

First, it's not late to be boxer at that age. 18 is young; your dreams haven't faded away. Second, if your brother wants to become something else, let him be and don't try to force him something else. Beside, I'm sure you can do better than becoming a boxer.

I would tell anyone to be very cautious of choosing this as a career path. If this is a way out of a bad situation (i.e. no money, no education or job opportunities) then that's fine, but if you have any other alternatives this is not the answer. It can take a toll on your body, and the chance of long term injury is very high. Boxers take on all the risk and only get a portion, if anything, in return.
Analyze who this really serves and what is personal motivation behind it? I hope that it is not coming from a place of vanity. The desire to be the biggest badass is falacy in light of today's modern warfare, and tactics. But setting that aside consider what you have already said about yourself. You feel that it is too late for you and recognize that there is only a small window of opportunity. The dynamic holds true for professionals as well. How long will they be able to be the badass 1,2....5 years? It is very fleeting.
I had buddy that went to Thailand to train and fight Muay Thai. I talked to him about how stupid it was for some European guy to go over there to prove what a badass they were, by taking on some poor kids trying to make it out of a bad situation. With all the resources he had available for training nutrition etc. I pointed out that this was nothing but his own ego, and that he should be ashamed. He went anyway and upon his return he told me that I had been 100% correct and that he didn't feel victorious but that he had hurt people's chances to improve their conditions.

There are many great boxers who start out your age or older. Those who start before or during puberty end up with health complications at some point in their life. Besides, you can't forcibly shape the interests of anyone - how would you like it if a family member of yours tried to make you like stamp collecting?
The "I want you to live my dream for me" approach never works unless the receiver has said natural interest. If you do try and force it upon him, you'll be pushing him away.

Kevin Ross and his girlfriend Gina Carano started training in muay thai at the ages of 24 and 22 respectively, and they are among the best martial artists in world. Laila Ali started boxing at the age of 18 and has zero losses.
Don't give up on your own dream and force yours to others. Let your bro be what he wants and be the person you want to be.
I will get back on martial arts after 3-4 years of break (with practicing no legit sport or anything) and i am 20. Who cares just do what you want and work hard.
