Well for starters all but 2 of these techniques are short range.Even tho thats what kenjutsu basicly is close range combat it gives a very big risk.Unless you understand what you are doing it wont be easy to survive. Also I notice these attacks where you drop down from up above but if you are limitting yourself to strictly kenjutsu and the opponent isnt I see no way for you to win that encounter. Also I have seen many people master kenjutsu yet I have never seen anyone use it,not even when in close quarters which makes me think its not the most usefull thing in all out battles

Grats on getting into Akatsuki. ^_^

Anyways, most of these attacks will stem from being performed in short range, so in a battle where say you begin in mid range, getting as close as possible to your target as quickly as possible is essential. I've also noticed that some of these techniques rely heavily on momentum, such as rotating to get a harder slash in, or falling down upon the enemy to use gravity to their advantage. Several of these techniques also involve using taijutsu, which is interesting, a good way to give the fight more realism, although that also depends on how descriptive the battlers are. Some of these also involve enhancing the cutting abilities of the weapon, such as the One Thousand Birds Katana technique, which also numbs the target. The Chakra Spinning Blade technique, which I like because it extends the range of the weapon's slash.

Tue. Like Taijutsu, Kenjutsu is a high-risk, high-reward kind of thing. You don't get paid for trying in Kenjutsu; your Ninjutsu-using enemy will have every advantage over you unless you know exactly what you're doing.
So what's to like about Kenjutsu?
Chidori Nagashi is an old enemy of any and all Taijutsu-users. The technique is annoying and potentially battle-ending unless you're fast and furious. Kenjutsu-users, with their extended range and ability to end battles with one hit, can almost completely bypass the technique with their range alone.
Freeform Taijutsu will bruise your opponent, but freeform Kenjutsu will cut a head off as easily as an actual Kenjutsu attack.
So with a couple of good advantages like that; why are there so many more Canon Taijutsu-users than there are Canon Kenjutsu-users?

So you're looking for chara-enhanced Kenjutsu and Ninjutsu-like sword-techniques? Have you taken a look at the Canon wind techniques? If not; do so and come back with a couple of technique usable with a sword.

(Fūton: Reppūshō) - Wind Release: Gale Palm
Rank: C
Type:Attack/Supplementary
Range: Short
Chakra Cost: 15
Damage Points: 30
Description: A simple technique that when the users hands are clapped together, wind is compressed and transformed into a powerful gale. This technique, when used as an isolated attack has the power to easily knock over a human. Though the true value comes from using it together with projectile weapons like shuriken or kunai. Their speed, power, and ability to wound or even kill are all increased several times.

Kinda confused with this one, it only refers to projectile weapons in the description yet I feel as if I can be used with swords too.
(Fūton: Kaiten Shuriken) - Wind Release: Rotating Shuriken
Rank: C
Type:Attack
Range:Short-Mid
Chakra Cost:15
Damage Points:30
Description: This technique will infuse wind-based chakra into bladed weapons. The user can than manipulate the blades in a spinning manner to attack the target.
(Fūton: Kujaku Senpū) - Wind Release: Peacock Whirlwind
Rank: C
Type: Offensive
Range: Short - Mid
Chakra cost: 15
Damage points: 30
Description: This technique utilizes wind chakra into the users sword and then they swing it to create a powerful whirlwind of gusts of wind by releasing the wind chakra in sync with the swing of the sword.
(Fūton: Kujaku Senpūjin) - Wind Release: Peacock Whirlwind Formation
Rank: B
Type: Supplementary
Range: Short
Chakra cost: 20
Damage points: N/A
Description: This technique utilizes wind chakra into the users sword and then they release a vortex of wind that surrounds the users body and can push away materials covering the users body.
Just a couple of them.

I have a few guesses but I doubt they will be correct xD

Taijutsu is something that most ninja are somewhat good at as it is one of the things you learn as you grow up while for kenjutsu you would have to basicly want to learn it,not just pick it up as you go.So lets say someone who while in ninja school see's he is pretty good at taijutsu he then decides he will specialize in it,while with kenjutsu its more of a "I want to do it so I need to get the required weapons" (I imagine this is horribly wrong xD)

Also unlike in our RP canon people dont go around with evrey element and evrey jutsu usable so Taijutsu people arent at that much of an disadvantage, the only kenjutsu users who deprive themselves of ninjutsu are samurai, even Sasuke depends on his ninjutsu 90% of the time

Basicly what im saying is that Taijutsu = something ninja learn in school for instance while kenjutsu = something you need to want to master and noone teaches it to you before that

I think it mostly depends on how fast the RPer would like the battle to end. Now it's been said that most people always love to try and one shot, gain OP things etc. However, going with the example you stated, freeform taijutsu will only bruise the opponent, so perhaps that person who has chosen taijutsu over kenjutsu thinks it's more fun to describe/fight with taijutsu as oppose to kenjutsu. Since this is all about fun, most people might overlook that freeform kenjutsu (again as you referred to) can kill, they might not enjoy fighting with a sword because they simply do not find any fun in it.

You were right; that was totally off.
Listen; your hypothesis is technically correct, but it just has no relevance to out RP. Yes, 'real' Ninja kids learn Taijutsu at school, but you didn't go to the Academy, you went to boring-ass primary school with math, history and snotty noses. You didn't learn how to use Karate, so it doesn't matter if you've described your character as having grown up amongst wolves and fed on the blood of demons since he could crawl. If you can't kick ass in Taijutsu or describe swordplay properly; your character's imaginary Ph.D in Kenjutsu remains just that: imaginary.
You understand where I'm going, right?

I hope you do, because I want you to attack me. Use the Kenjutsu techniques if you want, leave them if you don't. Come at me with everything you've got.

Taijutsu and kenjutsu are both 'fun' elements of battle, in the sense that very few ever incorporate it into their 'serious' fighting style. I'm trying hard myself, but it's a tough road with traps and shit.
Your answer isn't 'wrong'. There's no right answer, but I always end up looking at it like this:
Youve got almost 50 techniques for Taijutsu, if you include Kaito's, that can be readily accessed by enthusiasts. It's a bumpy road to mastery, but it's definitely feasible.
Then there's Kenjutsu. Unless you're Gin-San, KeotsuEclipse or Musashibo; you're on your ass. Let's face it; canon Kenjutsu sucks. The only good thing to happen to Kenjutsu was Izuna's NB Kenjutsu and that got dumped.
But I guess your 'fun' hypothesis has merit.

Three Cs and a B? Let me ask you; are you looking to incorporate Kenjutsu into your 'serious' style?
No matter your answer; come at me with all you've got. Use Kenjutsu-related Ninjutsu if you wish.

* "Unless you're Gin-San, KeotsuEclipse or Musashibo; you're on your ass." This sentence continued to resonate within my mind as ZK-Sensei finished with his response. "I'll prove to him, and to everyone that I have what it takes to become a prominent Kenjutsu user!" I thought to myself, as I heard the unmistakable call to action from my sensei; "Come at me with all you've got. Use Kenjutsu-related ninjutsu if you wish." As soon as those words were uttered I quickly began to assimilate raw chakra into my feet in order to increase my speed just slightly. "In response to your comment about me being on my ass" said I, as I bowed my head down and popped my Katana from it's sheathe with my left thumb, then grasping the hilt tightly with my right hand; "I guess I'll just have to prove to you that my name will be on that list of exceptional kenjutsu users one day!" as I spoke my final word I then proceeded to release raiton chakra into my katana as I unsheathe it suddenly, pointing it upwards revealing a lightning enhanced blade. Running towards you now as fast as I can with the help of the chakra that I had assimilated on my feet earlier, as I began to enter your short range I quickly changed the grip of my sword so that the hilt is pointing towards you and the blade pointing away from you. Using the momentum that I had gathered to my advantage I strike your gut with the handle of my sword, then proceed to rotate in a clockwise direction while simultaneously extending my right leg outwards. As I began to complete a full rotation I lift my right leg upwards from my left to right side in a diagonal manner, connecting the ball of my right foot to your right cheek. Once the kick had connected I quickly planted my right foot on the ground and in one quick burst lifted it up again vertically, connecting the front of my right foot to the bottom of your jaw bone, sending you soaring into the sky. Now ascending towards the sky I then jump upwards as well and race upwards at a faster rate than you in order to gain a height advantage, soon after clenching my left fist tightly as you get closer to me, punching you directly in the nose with great strength right as you enter the appropriate range and sending you racing downwards back towards the earth below us. At this point I have reached my terminal velocity and as I begin to descend towards the ground myself I grasp the hilt of my sword with both hands and proceed to execute a simple crescent shaped slash towards you, expelling a red chakra wave that strikes you in the chest area from right to left diagonally. Finally, as I'm almost near the ground, still falling directly above I switch the grip of my sword once more, turning the tip of the blade downwards with the hilt facing upwards towards the sky. I land on the ground, impaling you in the middle of your abdominal area right as I have landed. The deafening screech of the blade echos through out the training grounds as you become numbed due to the electricity. As I stare directly into your eyes I exclaim with great passion; "I am Ulquiorra Ciffer! Remember me!"

Law leans back his arms and grabs the hilt of his sword pulling it forward and point it towards his sensei. He then runs towards him and once he gets to the right of him he flips the sharp point of the sword to the left and strikes the sensei with the hilt in his ribs.He then with his hands still on the hilt with full force slashes his sword horizontaly slashes into his sensei cutting him in half o_O

Now I gotta tell you; I like the way you stepped into the situation and assumed your character's personality. Nice introduction, but if I were you, I'd think about using line breaks to make my posts more readable.
Popping your sword? Exquisite. Your entire approach reeked of swordsman, in a good way, but then you started describing your attack...
Now, you smack the bottom of your sword hilt, fine, but I'd really like you to mention that, should your smack connect, it'd most probably send me stumbling back, if not flying back. I might've mentioned that you can't dictate your opponent's response/reaction, but you can suggest a likely response and continue your attack on the base of that.
There's the wrong way if doing it: "Using the momentum that I had gathered to my advantage I strike your gut with the handle of my sword, sending you flying backwards.
And there's the right way of doing it: Using the momentum that I had gathered to my advantage I strike your gut with the handle of my sword, attempting to send you flying backwards.
The difference is subtle and some would call it nitpicking, but one describes an unavoidable action and the other suggest a likely response.

Anyway, I'm getting side-tracked. The point is that you forgot to mention that I should be sent stumbling/flying backwards. I know that you forgot this because if my stumbling backwards isn't a part of your move; you have no space to rotate, which means the rest of your move doesn't happen as you collide with my person and end up tumbling around like a couple of amateur wrestlers on meth.
Wouldn't want that, now would we?

Your spin's described 'meh-ish', mainly because you spend too many words on it, which, instead of clearing it up, ends up making it a confusing action.
"then proceed to rotate in a clockwise direction while simultaneously extending my right leg outwards. As I began to complete a full rotation I lift my right leg upwards from my left to right side in a diagonal manner, connecting the ball of my right foot to your right cheek."
"then proceed to do a clockwise, 360 degrees rotation, extending my right leg outwards at its apex (or near the end, whatever floats your boat) in an attempt to slam the ball of my right foot against your right cheek."
Now I notice you write your spin-kick as an unavoidable hit, not an aimed one. Think about that, neh?
Anyway; see the difference? Some moves may end up sounding a bit odd when you 'compress' the details, but lining things up in an oderly fashion makes your moves much less confusing. Add the glitter later. It'll become easier with practise.

Now, I honestly don't have to read the rest of your move. As a swordsman; I would've countered your attack before your first 'hilt-slam', so why waste all those words? The two attacks you just described, plus a short finish with the Arrowroot Death, since you've already initiated the move, is all you need, and all you, realistically, will ever get to do.
The rest is just flashy stuff.

Any questions?

I imagine this is all sorts of wrong but hey im here to learn :shy:
Lean back your arms? Huh? But okay, you dual-wield. Cool.
Your attack is confusing, but after reading it a couple of times; I get it.
Smack me in the ribs with the bottom of the hilt... okay, but have you forgotten that you're dual-wielding?
Pick up a stick, or any sword-ish-shaped object, with both hands. Now, attempt to strike an object directly in front of you with the bottom of said stick/sword-ish-shaped object.
Awkward angle, right? You can do it, sure, but your off-hand is pretty much in the way.
Try again :p

Well my sword is pretty big and I never rly took in consideration how much it would affect my kenjutsu skill.
Is there a big diffrence if I dual-wield rather then just do it one handed?
I liked it more cause in my head it would look cooler and make a bigger impact with the force of 2 hands behind the slash (non RP-vise I guess since here I think its the same thing)

Law grabs the hilt of his sword with both his hands and pulls it out on his sensei. He looks him in the eyes while thinking up of an attack plan and once the sensei blinks he goes into action.Law runs towards his sensei and after he gets in short range he leaps into the air and turns the sharp side of his sword upwards above his head.As he reaches his desired hight in the jump Law pulls back his legs pulling his weight forward doing a flip and increasing his falling speed. With the speed increased and the sword now held high up Law lands infront of his sensei with the sword going straight through the senseis skull cutting him down in 2 halfs >.<

I think I should start reading some freeform fights, this just doesnt feel good xD
Would you mind showing me a nice freeform kenjutsu move just so I get the basic understanding of it?

Crystal clear, everything understood and noted, especially the comment about the difference between stating something as if it's unavoidable and stating that you're attempting to, completely new thing to me and I will try to remember for future reference although I might slip up and overlook that here and there. ._.

Also about the hilt attack sending you back, I honestly don't get how I could have forgotten about that lol. This is good though, I like this. Nit-pick away I say, 'tis a great way to learn especially with a type of fighting style that demands precise descriptions.

EDIT: Oh yeah I have one question! What are line breakers? lol

I don't know if I've said this before, but.... please don't jump. Unless, of course, you want your opponent to slice you open.
Now son, I've gotta tell you that aiming for the flashy 'boom, flair and bravado'-approach ain't going to work out for you. Really. You need more practise. I know it sounds retarded to 'practise' written CQC (Close Quarter Combat), but if you want to be something in NB's Kenjutsu circles; then you've gotta practise.

Again; after you've written your move, it's a good idea to test it out for yourself, or have someone else read it and deduce what you're trying to do. Your opponent will, honestly, pounce on any and all mistakes you make.
Don't make mistakes.
Take your time, play it safe. One two, one two.

And yes, there's a big difference between smashing me with the hilt of your sword when you're dual-wielding and when you aren't dual-wielding. Seriously. Pick up a stick and try it for yourself. Unless you shift your grip radically, or do a reverse-grip; it won't really work. You end up hitting yourself with the blade.

Tell me; why would you go for a jumping, downwards-going double-slash with a flip? BRAVADO! FLAMBOYANCE! You've gotta beat that out of yourself, son, or others are going to do it for you.
And it hurts to suffer a humiliating loss when you're trying to show off.

By the way; do you have any idea of how much power you have to put behind a slash for it to cut an opponent in two? Do you have any idea of how unnecessary it is? Just take an arm, or slit a throat.

Now, had I been using my actual biography; I'd have caught the blase with one hand and gutted you with the other, but most opponents you meet will have to avoid your attack.
Which is easy, because you've given them unlimited space to move in and left yourself open.

Say I'm holding my longsword in my left hand. Just as you're about to connect with my skull; I side-step to my left and swing my sword in an arch, attempting to cut deeply into your flank.
Your turn.

Hey!
Bam, I just did a line breaker.
I don't know if I'm explaining it correctly, 'cause Im not really familiar with the terminology when it comes to grammar.
Anyway; every time you 'break' to the next line
You
Do
A
Line breaker.

It makes things easier to read and more pleasant to the eye by and large.

Attack me again. Use one of the Kenjutsu techniques and explain why you used said technique. Describe its inner workings.

*As we stand, at about 7 meters away from each other, I unsheathe my sword, gather chakra into my feet and begin running towards you. Despite the wind rustling the trees around the training area, seemingly showering it with an array of petals and leaves, I am focused and determined. I grip the hilt of my sword tighter as I begin to enter your short range, and once at the proper distance I start off with a diagonal slash that cuts from your left shoulder down towards the bottom of your gut area. I then turn the hilt quickly in a counter clockwise direction so that the blade is facing you once more and attempt to deliver a horizontal slash across the middle of your upper body. Finally, as you stagger backwards slightly from the slashes that have just been delivered I plant my left foot outwards directly in front of me in order to better balance myself, the sword still idle in the same position used to perform the horizontal slash, with my left hand clenched at the top of the hilt and my right hand gripped towards the bottom. I then raise the sword above towards the air, my entire body stretching upwards as well in order to apply as much force possible, now extending my right foot in front of me as I bring the sword down upon the very center of my target. This slash was different in that instead of simply utilizing the strength of my hands and my torso's range of motion to deliver the momentum, I use the entire mass of my body, bringing it all down into one swift, brunt motion. The sword, if upon making contact with the target's body, would begin creating a deep gash from the middle of the head down towards the bottom of the abdominal area.*

1) (Ken Rendan no Jutsu) - Sword Barrage Technique

I chose to use this technique because it prompts the user to be as creative as possible with how they go about executing it. As it is a vague technique one can go about cutting the person many different ways. The inner workings of this technique involve solely on the imagination of the person, although it must be kept within the realm of the initial description.
