Izanami, will be stopped by Zetzu. Remember that Kabuto has Zetzu´s spores with him, just like when he saved Sasuke vs Kakashi at the Bridge after defeating Danzo.

Oh yeh I see it. The thing I don't understand though, if Kabuto decides not to end Edo Tensei wouldn't they both be trapped inside izanami forever or until Itachi ends it?

I think it's only Kabuto who's trapped in the Izanami. The Itachi that Kabuto faces is just an illusion.:shrug:

You lose more than just your Sharingan. You lose your eyesight completely and go blind. So yes, it's like Izanagi in that respect and hence the reason it's forbidden.

OP, you had said that there is no time lapse, but obviously, this is a genjutsu, because it shows Itachi with his hand on Kabuto's forehead at the end, which is not part of the loop and not something Kabuto would just allow.


Therefore, this seems weaker to me than Tsukoyami, because it is not time lapsed (according to you) and requires more from the user (why else would it be forbidden).


Also, it makes me think... when else have we seen Itachi reach out and touch somebody's forehead... hmmmm.

well i think the theory is precise but not accurate izami is a genjutsu which state that yes its just a psychological trick really an truly kabuto would rather die than to tell (he is not a fool he will figure out the loop)....the secret....he needs him to open is eyes so he can cast the tsukuyomi to force kabuto to get thee information.........he is toying with the user

i just realized something disturbing check out the last page, it shows itachi used his left eye to cast this genjutsu, prior to this i used to think of course he sacrifice the amaterasu eye.. and other pictures show too but now it is casted by left.. even if outcome isto release of edo tensei why sacrifice the back up plan?? "i'l use my tsukyomi to understand how to stop the jutsu" ??

u fool the one fighting kabuto is a illusion he is in front kabuto....if endo tensei ends no talking with sasuke an itachi hence sasuske fighting with him would be pointless are even meeting him.....
