You cope by growing up. I won't go into detail, but if Sasuke was a real person, I would I understand what he is going through. I lost my parents when I was young, and revenge is no way to solve your problems. Of-course it's not as easy as I make it sound, but still, revenge is the act of a child.

What Sasuke is doing, will make Itachi sacrifice for nothing. Whats he going to do after he destroys Konoha? Will that be enough for him? Or will he seek to destroy the whole planet?

Just look at how is started. He wanted power to kill his brother, but that wasn't enough, so he decided to kill Konohas elders, and that still wasn't enough, now he wants to destroy the village its self. That's not going to be enough either. So what will he do after that?

Answer me this. Your brother sacrifices EVERYTHING his name, his clan, his happiness, all for you and the sake of the village he loves. He plots out everything to make you into a hero. How is him becoming a villain anything but selfish. Sasukes' revenge has nothing to do with Itachi, he's said so himself. Revenge is all he knows, maybe he knows he's wrong, and he understands that what he's doing isn't going to make himself or Itachi any happier. But he already went through so much cut so many ties, he feels as if he can't just go back and be the hero, he's had hate in his vains for so long he can't understand anything else. He can no longer blame Itachi so he found something new to vent his hatred against. It's just a guess, but I'm thinking he's trying to do the same for Naruto that Itachi did to him, become a horrid monster, to be beaten by Naruto so he can accomplish his dream of becoming Hokage, as Sasuke feels without revenge he no longer has any dreams left of his own. It's a really sad story on Sasuke's part even sadder on Naruto the one who won't give up on his friend.

edit: saw your changes, granted, no one is trying to say hes a well adjusted adult, we all agree hes dysfunctional , but his situation is different from yours, in that his entire family was murdered, by the person he trusted/loved the most, then he was tortured with recurring mental images of the murders[tsukuyomi] at 5 years old, with no reasoning or understanding he grew up with that knowledge , ran into itachi again, got another dose of tsukuyomi just for good measure at 13 ish, no big deal, its only mind shattering mental torment , then he finally kills itachi the one thing thats been the driving force in his life, thats defined his existance, and he comes to find out it was a set up for the good of the village

given how fked his head is at this point, you should be able to see why hes just like " fk the village" he has nothing left as a human being, revenge is it, attachments are over for him, which is poetic because thats why naruto is the only one that might save him

Um, actually I do. As I said in my previous post, I lost my parents when I was young. (I'm not going to say how, or why, so dont ask) But, I understand very well what he is going trough.

That's my point. Nagato, who had a similar though not quite a big lost, continued to hold a grudge even after he grew up and matured. So Sasuke wanting revenge isn't a matter of being mature or not.

Of-course he wasn't to blame. But, he needs to understand that destroying the village is only going to make things worse for himself. Mass-Murder isn't going to solve his problems.

I agree aswell. If Tobi hadn't of told him about Itachi, then he might be walking a different path.

Sasuke is an avenger guys, hes been saying it since the chuunin exams, Itachi made him that way, the whole point of Sasuke and Itachi's convo this chapter was that They are very similar in the sense that they have the same will power to do what they believe in no matter what. Itachi would give anything and everything to protect the leaf just as sasuke would go to any lengths to take revenge on it, they love each other more than anything so they accept that they won't change each others mind only Sasuke can really understand Itachi, only Itachi can really understand Sasuke.
