Doton (Japanese term for Earth Element) is one of the 5 main elements. Earth is strong against Suiton (Japanese for Water Element) but weak against Raiton (Japanese for Lightning Element). Doton is used for Defence, but is also powerful in Offence, therefore making a great battling element.

*I walk to the large rock and sit on top of it. Crossing my legs, I begin meditating. Closing my eyes, I stay as still as the rock itself. I get a feel of what the earth feels like, and do. It stays still. Just stays on the spot. The earth is hard, but when it is being moved, it can be a great weapon. 2 hours pass and I open my eyes*

*As I meditate on the rock, I begin to think of ways I can use Earth release on the battlefield. Trapping, crushing, and defending. All different ways like that*

Create a large wall from the ground using Doton chakra, large boulders curshing opponents. And others...

How else can earth be used..

You could hide under the ground and hide, then make a sneak attack.
Create an avalanch of rocks rain on the opponent
create a fissure, or a mud slide that puts the opponent off balance or something.

*I continue meditating until an hour passes. I get up, strech after a long meditating session, and walk up to Senpai.*

"Uh, senpai, you do relise I slept through like half the meditation...Anyways, can we do training and make things go Boom!?"

*After dipping my head in the river beside us, I sit down on the rock and begin meditating. Without falling asleep, 3 hours pass and I get up. Grasshopper is ready sensei *

Now focus your chakra into the rock, and change the shape to resemble a kunai.

*I grab the rock and place it in my hand. With full consintration, I focus all my chakra into the rock. At thee same time, I change my chakra to earth, creating doton chakra. I begin creating the shape of a kunai with my hand by cutting pieces with my doton chakra. I keep on shaping it until I have a perfectly shape but smooth kunai in my hand.*

What is a defencing weapon in naruto?

*As I get a block of wood, I begin drawig in my doton chakra. After ollecting the chakra, I focus the doton chakra into my hands. I begin forming the shape, a large rough copy, but after chopping and cutting larger chunks and smoothing the shape, I get a fully sized shield, almost as big, but as light, as me.*
