She healed Kankuro as well as assist in beating Sasori,, and recently hasn't been shown as much because she is saving lives in the middle of a war. As for the emotional part, well, shame on her for being sad about a friend from her childhood turning into a criminal and her being powerless to stop him and having to rely on Naruto all the time. They are only "fodders" to you because you are viewing the series and they don't fight as much or are shown like your favorite characters are, but they are shinobi in the middle of a war, and Sakura is doing her best to save their lives, because you can't put the life of people above one another on some scale. If you were a medic in a war would you disregard some people as fodder and ignore their wounds, deprive them of the opportunity to return home to their lives and see their families? Just because they don't have as much fighthing capability as some war hero? It's not as simple as them being fodder.
