Kunai depends on who uses it. Minato scared the shit out of Ay and Bee with a flying thunder god slash. Itachi scared the shit out of Akatsuki with mere kunai(Akatsuki never knew about his magic weapons), that Pain and Intangible Tobi never dared attack village during his lifetime. To think that Genin Sarada is in thier league, scaring hell outta S-rank Class Shinobi. While look at that poor clone with his sad curse enhancements. He slacked his ass off so bad, no amount of power-buffing'd allow him reach Sarada kunai level.

This is strictly factual and part of Sarada's capabilities. The assumption that Mitsuki was doing so for Sarada's own protection works under the premise that Sarada's Ces kunai couldn't put a hole into Kashin. You don't have to believe Ces kunai would, but you can't say it wouldn't by assuming she couldn't at that moment. Especially not when Mitsuki has proven he'd rather let Boruto experience growth instead of sweeping enemies for him.

It's akin to me saying Minato held back Kakashi because he couldn't handle Obito despite everything prior saying Kakashi could kill a motionless man.

Depends on how combat is initiated between the members and Kashin. Kashin has quick oneshot sniper gang potential but can easily be killed if sufficient power rips a whole into his body. Odds are he would notice/absorb a Rasengan from Boruto or Konohamaru, but Sarada's Ces kunai should be sufficient in speed and power while concealed. Mitsuki is a sneaky snake, so he might be able to get in close too though lacks oneshot strikes.

I don't take kind to you still generalizing Sarada with Team 7 in this scenario. It detracts from Ces kunai's theoretical capabilities. Absorption and such isn't helping him against a kunai, and he's certainly not winning unless he preemptively strikes Sarada down before she uses Ces kunai. As easy as it would be to take Sarada out, you're not giving credit where it's due.
