I think i know why obito became evil

obito became evil because when he thought he was going to die he told kakashi to protect Rin and gave him his eye but kakashi failed to protect her so he turned evil and in chapter 597 page 13

Or maybe, just MAYBE, since he's CLEARLY not dead, he was captured and put through all kinds of psychological torture that messed him up. Then seeing how Kakashi was regarded as a hero for that mission, and he was forgotten, made his existence revolve around hatred and envy. Then, he might have found out about the whole plot to murder the Uchiha clan, only to further fuel his hatred for everything, and if everything he's said is accurate, then... He probably hates Konoha even more, due to the fact that because of his clan he could NEVER become Hokage, his dream, and thus, he wants to plunge everyone else's dreams into a null state, where they'll never come true. In short, he's just a selfish brat.

Since the introduction of obito, it has always been established that he didnt like the current way the ninja world operated, which is why he came up with own around the time before hes suspected death which was "protect those you love". Now seeing as some where in the timeline, his beloved Rin falls, he comes to his thinking that no matter how strong you are, you cant always protect the ones you love, and that "When a man learns to love, he must bear the risk of hatred". Seeing as there is nothing ( in his mind and also Madara mind) that can guarantee peace, The Moons Eye Plan is formed. Just my 2 cents

While I'm sure that will come into play that only ties Kakashi and Obito together, not Naruto and Obito. Antagonist and protagonist stories must tie together.

i know :s a day after posting that thread i started seeing people mentioning rins death as a cause for obito's motives and i was like :/ any credit no? okay never mind.
