I think I know Gaara's true weakness. What are weaknesses of ninjas we know?

I believe Gaara's true weakness is the element.......water.

If his sand gets wet, it sort of becomes mud right? Can he still use that? Apart from the sand in his gourd of course, which would still be able to move.


I also believe that Gaara is completely useless while fighting on water itself.

Say if he were to fight Kisame, he would lose instantly.

What do you think?

Itachi - 3rd Raikage (Long, drawn out fights against an opponent he can't lay eyes on.)

Kakashi - 9 Headed Dog (Again, an extended fight against a Boss Summon sized opponent he'd have to warp NINE TIMES to deal with. He can Kamui to safety, but he certainly can't WIN.)

Jiraiya - Unexpected!Asura! (Massively powerful sneak attacks impossible to sense even for two experienced Sages after all reasonable evidence points to the battle being over.)

That's all I can think of for now.

EDIT: There's SOME overlap between Itachi and Kakashi, they MAY be able to switch nemeses and stll be screwed. But I'm pretty sure it'll be easier for both of them.
