I switched from Gimp to Photoshop CS6 today

Ok I've done the same thing but I only switched cs5 awhile ago here you need to go youtube Search on how to use the basic tool in Photoshop cs6 then if that video doesn't explain layers go to another one go look

Because people suggested Photoshop is superior to Gimp.

Photoshop is indeed superior to gimp but only when u have used gimp enough. Unless you spend enough time on gimp any change in the software program won't make much of a difference...

I have used Gimp alot. I'm used to it. I know what all the tools do in gimp. However, in photoshop, the HUD is more confusing and also Gimp has a few tools that Photoshop doesn't.
