I dont believe Minato could use KCM to break out of a genjustu, I think you actually need the tailed beast inside to wake you out of it not just the chakra. However minato was a talented ninja and a hokage im sure he had plenty of ways to break genjustu or avoid them all together.

Im not getting into the itachi vs minato debate because there is no point lol, ill just say even itachi himself stated that every justu has a weakness.
