[Discussion] I still don't understand.

After all this time, I still don't understand how Coyote Starrk is ranked higher than Baraggan. I mean, I understand that he has more destructive power from being able to shoot so many cero......but his lethality is overshadowed by Baraggan's ability to disintegrate everything, even all those Cero that Starrk could produce.

I would even go as far as saying that Baraggan's final defeat was kinda BS; the man was untouchable, and the only way that Aizen was able to defeat him was from using an illusion, catching Barragan off-guard.

Most o the espada, with the exception of Ulquiorra and Grimmjow, were just generic villains made for the purpose of fight scenes. As such, Tite Kubo didn't concentrate so hard on comparing and contrasting their powr. Basically he said "I'll make Barragan number 2, he has the power to disintegrate things, and he'll fight with soi fon.

Honestly agree.

Barragan was pretty much made OP since nothing could hurt him except well high level Kido transportation. Which comes at a pretty steep cost with the victory.



The only plausible idea is that Staark had enough power to completely over powder any effect of Barragan's... Kind of like Kenpachi vs Ichigo round 1: Kenpachi was so far above he couldn't be hurt.


But I doubt it.



Barragan's resurrection = Boss.

The fact is Aizen beat him.

Winning by pure strength alone is not the only way to win.

That is just one of many ways power can be manifested.

He was bested.

That is something you just have to get over.

Their ranks are based off of there reiatsu not necessarily whose stronger.

Hmm, that would make sense; I did like Starrk and his power was pretty cool, but it just still grinds my gears(lol) that his power wasn't more OP than Barragan when they revealed his rank you know?

Yeah I gotta admit, starrk is cool as hell but I was thinking the same thing.​

Just found this out today but Stark in German means "strong" so it's fitting that the strongest Espada was named Stark.
