It's sexual desire stretched really long to mean something more than it is.Why is it pointless though?

The reason the pairings come off as nothing but lust is exactly because they were never given proper treatment. It's sexual desire stretched really long to mean something more than it is.
Romance warrants little thought as it really is nothing more than physical desire bloated to hilarious degrees by the media. The reason the pairings come off as nothing but lust is exactly because they were never given proper treatment.
Because the romantic bonds were keeping readers hooked until the end unlike these other bonds. In the second last chapter he still refuses to have Naruto name the girl despite this being the last chance to meet his Dad and in 700 they are married. The issue is that he was so busy trolling a part of the fandom (and he himself admits he was trolling) that the real pairings suffered as a result. NH needed that movie. Even SS desperately needs one as so far Sasuke is still not shown to like Sakura or be with herThe reason pairings were forced and awful in this series is that alongside with the author not treating the female characters as people (the claim that one can't write female characters is nonsense, period), he was also intent on keeping romantic relationships out of the spotlight. This is something I never understood about the Naruto manga's logic, or rather, Kishimoto's. A manga about bonds is fine with showing friend bonds, brotherly bonds, student-teacher bonds, parent-child bonds, but not romantic bonds? Why? They're just as valid, and its Kishimoto's hesitance to pay them any attention as to why they turned out so awful in comparison to most other well-done bonds in the series like ShikaInoCho or Itachi and Sasuke or Lee and Gai. Granted, this is the same man who's primarily focused bond of Naruto and Sasuke is arguably worse than SS and NH at times, so I can't really blame him for the incompetence.
So you're claiming that romance has no emotional component and is all physical desire?Romance warrants little thought as it really is nothing more than physical desire bloated to hilarious degrees by the media.
Exactlty. Like, dude, you already know and have admitted you're not good at writing females or romance, so why, with this handicap already, would you go out of your way deliberately ruin an already weak pairing?Because the romantic bonds were keeping readers hooked until the end unlike these other bonds. To put it simply? Yes. Although, if I am to get clinical, lust is also emotional based. So you're claiming that romance has no emotional component and is all physical desire?
Let's keep it that way, to be honest. I want Sasuke to be his own person.Because the romantic bonds were keeping readers hooked until the end unlike these other bonds. Sasuke knows his girls can take care of themselves.Remember when people were expecting Sasuke to be an over-protective father/husband?
Ah, good times. Never change, Sasuke. Never change.
Sasuke knows his girls can take care of themselves.
