I'll start first
Genre: N/A
Favored point of view: I prefer first person view
Age range: Any except those for children
Elements/Plot etc: Romance (it should possibly play a large role in the book); Magic/Special ability; Happy ending (I recently finished "Mockingjay" and "Inheritance" so... xd)
Don't know if you've read it, but I want to reccomend the Farseer Trilogy (I think that's the only sieres I've ever reccomended, lol.) It's first person; I prefer those as well.
There is romance that influences the protagonists' decisions, and there is magic as well. Well, the first book might be boring; it sets the foundation of the sieres, and lacks the romance you might want.
As for happy ending...it does end happy, but then again, it depends on your view. I personally think its a bit sad, and that the character...deserves more. Anyway, he suffers a lot in the 2nd and 3rd...end of the 2nd, I was crying. >.>
Oh, I made a thread bout this Trilogy long ago; if you'd like to figure out more.
I also reccomend 'Feast of Souls' by C.S Freidman. The magic was awesome, the overall story was thrilling. Yes, there's romance. The author made a second book, but I haven't been able to get it yet. She's really good with writing/descriptions. I can't remember the point of view, but you see the views of many characters throughout.
The Bartemaus Trilogy was first person; it has magic, pretty good, but second one was boring to me. Maybe you've read it? It's level might be childish though; I'm not sure, I read it long ago.
The Lost Gate isn't bad either. Not first person, but its got a lot of magic and some er, not the right sense of romance. I think a sequel might come out.
Genre: I read anything; mostly Fantasy, or romance. But really, anything.
Favored point of view: First person, but don't mind any.
Age range: As long as its mature, and not 'kiddy'. Especially the writing.
Elements/Plot etc: magic, thrill, romance. I tend do like stories with heroes, or stories that are really emotional. There's gotta be some drama and death. I like stories that can really make you cry, or make you really think; life-lessons, etc.
Don't reccomend the Inheritance series please; and I've read most of the Sword of Truth series - I don't intend on continuing anytime soon. I've also read most of Terry Brooks' books as well.
So, what should I read? I haven't read a series for a while. Just random fiction.
Nice thread btw.
