I really hope that naruto, being a sage, has some more wind-based sage techs up his sleeves that we didn't see yet....and not just another rasengan clone. It might be wishful thinking but I'm really hoping there is still more out there that he hasn't shown and possibly waiting for the grand finale battle, ie. Naruto vs Sasuke.

well it could still be possible that he manages to escape the genjutsu along with a few others, and have another small time gap where he trains? lol that would prob never happen.

Not likely, earth is inferior to lightning while water conducts lightning.

Water amplifies lighting that's science 101 lighting nullifies earth ....if naruto learned a lighting tech he could possibly counter sasukes lighting any other technique like water or earth won't work. Yamato explained it back when he learn rasen shuriken
