It happened to me too. It said wait till August 31, then it said October 1, I'm just waiting to delete it. Gmail is much better.

Yes you did. Whenever you create an email, you have the option for an alternate email that they'll email for security reasons. They only use an email to recover your account if you put an email as an alternate email.

What's dumb, is that you can actually use an email that doesn't exist, and they'll count it. At least they did seven years ago when I made mine, because I tried hopping on it to check something and they used an email that doesn't exist that I chose as an alt email to recover mine.

Except, with me, I can actually still enter my email, so I don't know what your problem is.

1) Stop using your email on surveys/ads.

2) If it's from the same email, they usually have an unsubscribe link in the email.
