To be honest I believe that they are both smart in their own ways, so overall I would rate them as being equal in both of their respective intelligence.

Sasuke is smarter than Naruto. But kind of how like Shikimaru is smarter than both of them, but normally applies to tactics for groups of people or a strategy thought out before hand. Whereas imo Naruto and Sasuke are both more in-battle wise. Quick thinking, etc.

I don't understand this bit but overall just because of one feat Naruto showcase this chapter you automatically assume he's smarter than Sasuke.Sasuke has already showcased a lot of intellect through out the whole manga as well as Naruto doing the same.Your thread(opinion) hasn't solved anything nor will your font and color change help cover the flaw in this overall conclusion you came to.

^THIS^ Naruto is a "knucklehead" so people automatically downplay his intelligence. He doesn't appear as smart as he actually is, but that works to his advantage. Granted, in his everyday life he is a bit on the dimwitted side. That's why I like him though. Smart in battle, silly in real life, with strokes of genius here and there.

First I just need to say this... Sasuke is awesome and will always be awesome. A few days ago I would've sworn that he had Naruto mentally outmatched, but this chapter proved me so wrong.

Naruto's feat this chapter just became untoppable. I didn't even realize that ninjutsu and senjutsu were still relevant, I thought it was all the same, just like everybody else. But now even when he was facing Obito, he could multitask and focus on gathering energy while also listening close to the words/disturbance that was coming from Obito and go into SM. This chapter was extremely progressful, and I feel sorry for anybody before who 'quit' it.

But anyway this chapter was just awesome, Naruto really put his mind on the line this chapter... so, would you agree that now in terms of intellegence, Naruto>Sasuke?

PS. I'm not bandwaggoning, I'm just talking about the chapter... so don't say I am please.

Rather subjective statement there.

The issue that causes these debates is because members consistently use a characters accomplishments to out shine others.

Today Naruto was able to figure out that Senjutsu was effective against Obito, because he knew all about Senjutsu and that it was Senjutsu that the toad used.

This doesn't mean he is superior to Sasuke... It just means that Naruto can capitalize on his current knowledge/experience, maximizing his battle intellect.

Sasuke has shown impressive feats also, this does not mean that he is any superior to Naruto.

They both have strengths and weaknesses... My personal opinion is that Sasuke has a more general battle sense. Whether Naruto strives on his unpredictability... Both have great insight, intuition and observational skills.

They are as effective as each other, it just depends on how their experience compares to that of the situation that they are in.

To be fair, Sasuke hadn't really seen Sage mode before and didn't really know about nature energy while Naruto is an expert in it so he was in a better position to come to that conclusion.

Tobirama doesn't have Sage Mode, and he knew what Senjutsu was. He was the brother of somebody who has it, and I doubt Hashirama came back and explained every detail about it, being a busy Hokage and all.
While Sasuke on the other hand, fought a Sage mode user and still didn't know. On top of that, he was being trained for roughly 3 and a half years BY a Senjutsu user and still didn't know. The dudes clueless, there's no getting around it.

FACT: Tobirama doesn't have Sage mode.
FACT: He knew what Senjutsu was.
FACT: Sasuke fought a Perfect Sage mode user.
FACT: Sasuke doesn't know what Senjutsu is.
FACT: Sasuke was trained by a Senjutsu user for 3 and a half years.
FACT: Sasuke doesn't know what Senjutsu is.
Doesn't matter how you aquire the knowledge. Fact of the matter is the only thing that matters in the end is if you have knowledge on it or not.
