Well here's my problem, whenever I connect my android device to my laptop it charges but my pc cannot detect it. At first I thought it was my PC so I updated all the drivers on it, and even completely restarted my PC(I did the same for my phone as well) and then I decided to plug my sisters phone on my laptop and my laptop immediately detected it. So now I know that the problem is my phone and not my laptop, I was wondering if any of you can help me out with this? Or know any websites that can help me?

Have you tried connecting to another PC?
Go to Start>Devices and Printers(If it shows your device right click and go to properties)>Hardware>Properties(on the lower right side). If a box at the bottom shows that the device is working properly,Then you should have a problem with the phone. Anyways, try updating it driver in the same option.

Do you have a Samsung phone,If yes then I can help U_U

I do have a Samsung phone, and I haven't tried connecting to another PC yet. And I followed the steps you've listed and my phone does show up, but when I click hardware and try to go into properties the properties tab is unclickable.
did you try a different usb port
Yes I have
I was having the same problem... My fix was cleaning the charge port with a paper clip. There was a lot of lint in there. It gets compacted in there. Hope it helps!
I doubt that the port is dirty though, because when I connect it, it still charges but I'll clean it just to be certain.
