I need help on this current story I'm working on. This part of the plot development deals with forgiveness, but I don't know how I should write it. It deals between my villain and his kids, who are in protective custody while finishing high school. Now, in order to understand this a little bit, you have to know my villain, which explains why he is evil. Please read.
Now, there's another reason why he wants revenge. His best friend aka blood brother accidentally murdered Darius' pregnant wife, Cristiana. Cristiana wanted them to stop fighting. She wanted to protect her husband. She couldn't use her powers, because she was too weak from the pregnancy. Crush's son, with all his strength aimed at Darius, Cristiana pushed her husband out of the way and was hit. The punch crushed her chest cavity and she died almost instantly. Darius was laid out with tranquilizer darts laced with a neutralizing liquid.
Crush's son, Steve, broke down. He was in utter shock that he killed one of his best friends and her unborn child. It took him 12 years to recover from it. Now, that Darius is on the loose and his kids, Alex and Brianna, are in Steve's hands, the truth about that situation was revealed. Cristiana's death was covered up saying she died from a car accident. Her death was completely covered up for the kids' safety.
So once this is revealed and tears have been shed, how should the concept of forgiveness go down? How should the characters cope with that reality?
