I need help (recommendation)

I'm looking for some science fiction anime where fleets of ships fight other fleets in space where the most importent factor is tactics and using the inviroment and the various ships strenghts and weekness to their fullets for some epic strategi battles.

i've trying some google magic but no dice so now i have turned to you guys, are there any such animes around?

I think we can all agree here than Death Note is a really good anime (the ending could have been better, but overall the anime was, really good) but im not really sure it fits the kinda of animes i was looking for.

that was kinda the thinking ye, great fights where hundreds if not thousands of people die every moment when one sides takes down a ship in the enemy's fleet and where the battle are won or lost on the merits of the tactical/strategical abilities of the commanders.
