I need excuses.

Sorry but I couldnt make any. I need excuses for not bring my TRUMPET to school. I joined band and I havent call my notes right even though I practice 1-3 hours a day. I want to quit band but theres 3 more months left. What do I do? I hate having to go to school without a instrument. I work the hardest in the band but I suck the most in band. All the other trumpet players do better than me all the time and me having to sit with them clapping for them. Because of this I hate Music but I like to listen to it. I will never join band even if its a instrument that I know how to play.

If I bring my music teacher is going to yell like every Monday and Wensday. Because of him and my other trumpet partners I feel like crap. I practice so much but still I never change. Even some of the other trumpet players say that they are better without me. Plus my band teacher said we are going to have a concert before.

You shouldn't be so insecure. Don't let other people ruin something that you liked in the first place(you obviously had to like it or you wouldn't of joined). Just keep practicing and then once you're finally good enough your peers will look like fools for ever doubting you. Insecurity isn't a good trait to have.

Quitting is never the best road to choose.

Thanks for the advice..but..they are about 25-30 people in the band and probably 1-7 people practice and I'm one of them. I practice a lot and my music teacher said I can only do crappy band songs because I suck. Sometimes I dont feel like practicing.

When I had first started playing basketball at the age of 12 I was constantly criticized by my friends, strangers, and even my coach at times. I practiced constantly and now I'm the starting guard on my college basketball team.

Trust me there are plenty of times when I felt like quitting because I just felt useless when playing because I wasn't that good, but I realized that quitting would just lead to me being criticized even more. I pushed on and now my friends don't say a damn thing to me when it comes to my basketball skills becuasde they know how good I am.

Perseverance is what leads to success.

But yes, just keep practicing, practice makes perfect.

Just quite the band and take up another extra curricular activity that you enjoy and are good at, but still support your band, even if you do leave. They'll appreciate that you still trying to well even after leaving.

If they don't like your decision then just solve it all with violence

You read Naruto right, (don't say you don't coz i kno u'll be trolling wif me :|) so follow his example... don't give up!!! Naruto had a rough start, right? But he kept going at it... and eventually he reached there, and became even better than the rest... take a little bit time to learn your mistakes and all...

PS. I know ur asking for an excuse.... but advice is better... plus i can't think of anything right now :ghehe:

Thanks for all the advice guys. I went to band today still a bit of problems..but I didnt care what others thought of me and they wont stop me from playing in Band special thanks to Broly. And to the others that said quit. I want to quit but there is 2 months left theres no point. And Tobinater there is only 1 sax and I was scared but thanks.

Why don't you suck it up.and realize there will always be someone better than you. Its called life dude. A lot of people have had band since they were in elementary school deal with it. Look at it as a challenge better yourself suck it up and move on. + everyone knows trumpet players know how to kiss. And if they dont know that show them whats up.
