it happens, sometimes out of nowhere we start to feel that way... i usually feel very depressed when i realize that every good thing must come to an end, especially after my favorite movie has ended.. but that's my side of mind...

But then i try to find brighter side of things, like one good thing ended, another is to come...

Maybe your reason is different, but it helps when you change your place where you were sitting, or drink a glass of water and go for a stroll...

Why do you guys think I suddenly feel depressed? I just graduated high school, going to college in August, I'm in a great position financially. Basically, everything is going pretty well for me right now, so why do I feel like this? Have any of you gone through something like this as well? Is this normal?

Sorry this is a late reply. We can only guess; you have to figure out why you are feeling depressed. Maybe you're feeling anxious about starting a new school, leaving home, worried about making new friends, unsure what you want to do with your life? Everyone feels trepidation when they first move out - even if they are just going to college. And when you get to school you will probably feel homesick for awhile.

You could be bored, it could be loneliness, you mentioned that you had not been in a relationship for a while, human beings need companionship and it can make you feel like there is a void in your life.

If you are going to leave for collage and live on campus then you could be feeling a sense of loss, leaving you family, home and friends behind.

It could be your age, I' m guessing you are under twenty? You just left secondary school so obviously, it is not unusual for people to feel blue over nothing at any age but particularly at your age.

Usually when someone has things going well and they feel depressed it is because they subconscious is telling them that there is something missing in there life.
