Please, for the love of god, watch Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann. It has some of the most ridiculous over the top action you'll see in an anime, along with a story which I believe is worth writing home about.

Haiykuu! and Space Dandy are the most fun modern anime around and both ongoing/really short so totally worth your time.

There's also Gurren Lagann which is my favourite piece of fiction.

Both have 2 sides fighting in a war with 2 friends not known to themselves end up fighting against eachother
There is enough fighting, it's war so their will be casualties , Life is kinda cruel in this anime lol
U have coordinators on one side, they are genetically modified humans (so they are superior in combat, intelligence) and on the other side u have the normal humans


Hellsing Ultimate? If u want alot of over the top action gunfights, zombies, vampires that bite people throats in half, watch this, it's funny and has epic opera music

If u like Anime like HxH or Magi with very good world building ,u should try One Piece, yeye art maybe weird for you, but it's a story u only see once in a 100 years with awesome badass characters everywhere
