I major in office administration. What kind of jobs can I get out of this? I want a 9-5 job when I graduate.
Office Admins generslly do the HR work in an office. Roles would be making monthly schedules for employees, Data acquisition/entry on sales, Payroll manager, and with experience, Project manager. These are just som example but be prepared to be answering lots of emails and keeping the daily task of the office in check. Could be lucrative in the sales dept. and theirs definently room to grow and be promoted to higher level.
From Bureau of Labor Statistics.
Administrative services managers plan, direct, and coordinate supportive services of an organization. Their specific responsibilities vary, but administrative service managers typically maintain facilities and supervise activities that include recordkeeping, mail distribution, and office upkeep.
Median pay of 83k but that with 5-10 years of experience once you move up in the company.
My imo: Focus on sales acquisition with the admin job. Probably has the best benefits and commision/benefits.
