I think it would be a cool addition to the social-networking dimension of the forum if we were to receive a notification when someone likes our posts, much like the quote notification. Is anyone with me on this or is the idea nah?

I disagree, it gets annoying when you are spammed with Like Alerts all the time. Plus some people would do it willingly just to annoy you.

A profile tab entitled 'Post Thanks/Likes' tracks the posts you liked, and who liked your own posts.​

When you open your profile there is a "Post Thanks/Like" button, where you can see which of your posts were liked/disliked. Getting a notification seems unnecessary.
