I know Naruto has been a bit lackluster but....

I just feel that everybody is expecting too much out of the story. Sure the Rin flashbacks and Obito 'TNJ' got out of hand but it makes the end result of the war more significant than Naruto just punching his way through everything and constant fighting which would have got a bit tedious. The Kakashi/Obito story is quite essential in the aspect of Naruto's character because it reflects just how he's managed to grow up a bit. I'm not a fan of his character, but he does have some redeeming qualities which earn respect.

Besides, if people want a real villain, we still have Madara on the case (Since I'm not at all keen on Sasuke being the FV) so he will provide the real feel of a war before Naruto defeats him of course.

No TnJ is over done to the point any is boring now and Naruto getting all the screen time is boring too. Simple solution GIVE OTHER POEPLE SCREEN TIME DAMMIT!

This doesn't feel like a war. A is when alot of people fight eachother at once and TnJ isn't helping it. This feels like a Naruto rampage cause he is doing 90% of the fighting.

Well kishi takes a big histus till next year's first weekly shonen release, so I hope thst Naruto gets better by that time.

I agree. People expect to much out of the manga that is focused on the main character naruto. They expect kishi to go in the direction they want, and when he doesnt, they throw hissy fits. Though i feel he could do better on somethings(just generic), i dont find this arc to be terrible at all. That is because i dont have any expectations for what comes next, and i just let kishi do his story.

I do wish that obito cut the amount of times he says rin, in half though. Im fine with him loveing rin, and going dark because she died, but just hearing him say nearly once per page he is in "Rin" or haveing flashbacks ALL the time is just a bit annoying to me.(sorta like how ussopp annoys me in OP)

If anything this story is bound to get better. I am critical for simple reason that I've been reading this manga since the japflap and onemanga days. I remember when Kishi threw out unreal content weekly. It's still vividly there for me and it's just disturbing to see him take this dip.

Like the others above me, I indeed lowered my standards as time went on.
