There are so many natural substances that are sticky, I don't see why it has to be that one.

Also, We don't know if water affects that resin (since water affects Katakuri's).
I'm willing to bet water does not affect the resin secreted by the mangrove (if water did, it wouldn't have been used for all the things they use it for on Sabody and FI).

Ah very nice find, I don't see why people are finding it hard to see how it could be a natural substance like the usual logia types... Don't think it's necessarily that though, for the reason stated below by another member.
