Since there aren't any wars or foes, maybe sasuke figured out that the only way sarada could activate her sharingan is making her believe karin was her mom and sakura was not her mom and they didn't get married, then sarada would be like "I hate you dad, I wouldn't forgive you jerk,you lost to a weak naruto in vote 2, despite having 9 bijuu,you are a jerk" and then she activates a 1 tomoe sharingan, then sasuke smiles and then tells her the truth and then sarada gets over it.

She doesn't need to witness someone's death to awaken it, all she needs is strong feeling of emotional stress. Her parent's relationship would be the perfect factor.

Sasuke awakened his Sharingan after coming to terms with the reality of his situation (leaving Konoha), he also awoke MS by accepting the reality of his brother's life. If Sarada accepts the reality of her parents relationship she might have a chance.
