See ? I think Naruto did not fall there for nothing, I think he was planning something, Like in the first fight with neji, He hid inside the ground and attacked him. Same here instead he hid a kage bunshin in the ground by creating a hole with the rasengan. And also, if naruto was really about to die with sasuke's death blow, then kurama would be tensed and do something, but we see nothing of that sort, so kurama already knows there is a kage bunshin hiding. And finally just before sasuke is about to strike his KB rushes out of the ground and delivers a rasengan damaging sasuke and thus making naruto the victor. Everyone obviously knows that chidori is not going to hit naruto anyways, so it might happen as well

got a better theory.
Naruto's clone collects nature energy and naruto releases it immediately causing him to go sage mode and block sasuke chidori.
A with that naruto will easily be able to defeat him

Naruto has made "mistakes" before and they always turned out to be well planned so maybe. It is also possible that Sasuke absorbed a small amount of Kurama's Senjutsu chakra though..which would be the funniest option. Stone Sasuke.

here's the other thing...when naruto pushed off the black flames with the cloak, right before he made the KB sign, yet none appeared, then we see sasuke's perspective and his eyes shut, he lost sight of his opponent and suddenly, there's 4 naruto's rushing him. i dont think the real naruto is in that and that sasuke has been fighting a clone all day.
