Nice idea,I can see that it is possible but IMO it is a different jutsu as the jutsu can stop him from using Suanoo as well.

It's probably a deva path ability(gravitational forces) , if that's the case, Madara has more control over it than Nagao..(we already confiremd this a few chapters ago)
