Hagoromo was around when Kaguya cast IT the first time. He should have seen what happened to the victims, they became Zetsu's.

When Madara got HashiDNA, he got Hagoromo's chakra, which is the requirement to meet him. Hagoromo should have shown up right there, and told Madara that Infinite Tsukiyomi would kill everyone and zetsufy them.

Madara doesn't continue with Eye of the Moon plan, Akatsuki is never formed, Obito goes back to the leaf village, everyone lives happily ever after, and Itachi becomes Hokage.

Not possible. The requirements for Hagoromo to appear are the chakra of Indra, Ashura, and Kurama. Madara only ever had two of the three at one time.

They would have easily been stopped by Konoha or any other superior nation. Rather than it being such a weird balance.

Uchiha wouldn't have been slaughtered at all. No Obito becoming bad means no Uchiha persecution (since in this scenario, Madara doesn't pursue his plan and just lays there to die or goes back to the village after a while). Uchiha live and many others who died as a result (ala Minato or Kushina) are also alive.

Kishimoto didn't give us enough information to decide this...Did Hagoromo really know about the zetsu transformation? The victims who completed the zetsu transformation seem to have been absorbed(Either into the Shinjuu or Kaguya) from what we know...since Bz pulled them out of the Gedou Mazo to trick Madara.

When Hagoromo released IT, he probably just saw the normal people who hadn't turned into zetsu...afterall, who is going to miss a few thousand out of the whole worlds population?

Madara was in a near death state at one point when he was old. He also died/was in a near death state at the VOTE fight.
