I just reread the Kakuzu fight, dem experiences in combat....

Kishi tried way too hard to make Naruto = Sasuke.

Kakuzu lost 2 hearts before fighting Naruto and had to waste chakra on Kakashi.Naruto had the edge and yet he was still waaaay weaker than Kakuzu during that time.

 

[Bad Touch Yakushi]

Kakuzu and Sasori were the two most annoying fights ever. Both top 20-25 material, and both should've God stomped their fights, but didn't, due to plot.

That was by far the hardest boss fight in that game, and the most enjoyable.

And Deidara's fight was actually rather enjoyable, it's just Sasuke's asspull survival that's annoying, in my opinion.

I agree with some of this but you don't spend 90 years in the Akatsuki and just fight fodders. Didn't the Akatsuki take on entire wars? Entire wars and bijuus.

raikage did say that hidden stone used akatsuki however i would say that they took akatsuki's help for specific missions (like the kanabi bridge mission of team minato during 3rd shinobi war) as i doubt they can fight entire armies and they are a secret organisation

none of the jinchurikis they fought were perfect and could not utilise the full power of bijuus like bee or naruto

Kinda sad how it did a better job of the Gaara VS Deidara, Sakura VS Chiyo, Naruto VS Sasuke fight & Kakazu VS Naruto fight than the actual source material...
