@OP: He is still a genin but he wouldn't be allowed to take the Chunin exams because you need a three man squad and the rest of his squad is already chunin. Besides he is already a sage. Naruto would destroy everybody in the Chunin exams no contest. Forest of death: Kyuubi mode clones spread through the forest and take everybodys scrolls. He wins automatically. He is also considered Konoha's hero.
