I just realized Usopp's character is inspired by Aesop of Aesop Fables.... Aesop was a Greek Fabulist....

He was known for his great story telling.... He has more than 600 Fables credited to his name....

He was of African descent.... I guess Oda Sensei mentioned once that Usopp would be African in the real world....

Usopp's back story of lying and creating a false alarm of "Pirates are coming, Pirates are coming." is just like the Fable of "The boy who cried wolf." which is credited to Aesop as well.... =D =D

Just thought I'd share the info in case someone hasn't realized like I didn't till a few mins earlier.... =D =D

Yeah, Sawyer also made that connection. I guess it's most certain then.

Thanks for the info ^_^
I like how Oda bases allot of his characters off of real life people. And also includes part of their history and makes it unique to the character in their own way.

Or maybe he's slightly inspired by Pinocchio, they both lie a lot and have big noses XD
