Sure there are ninjas or beings stronger than him now. But the only people i can think of more versatile than Nagato is Hagaromo and Kaguya.

This man can absorb your jutsu with Preta path

Take control of your body with Bansho Tenin

Repel all attacks with Shinra tensei

Extend his cqc with weaponize limbs with asura path

summon immortal animals(Cerebus)

Completely revitalize himself with Naraka (King of hell)

Take your soul with Human Path

Take all your knowledge with Human Path

Use chibaku tensei

Use a 1 shot kill move with the gedo statues 9 phantom dragon technique which has no counter btw.

and has control over life and death.


It doesnt get more versatile than that. He pretty much has a counter to everything.

There is a thin line between variety and versatility but I think what you described is more variety than versatility.

If you want to talk about versatility then you talk about a guy like Naruto. Naruto for a long time, and even KCM and SM Naruto had a limited variety of jutsu (rasengan, shadow clone, rasenshuriken), but he was so versatile with those jutsu that he could use them in so many different ways with so many different combinations that he was incredibly difficult to predict. He is absolutely or at least arguably the most versatile ninja out there because of his ability to adapt his jutsu to any situation.

What you described regarding Nagato is more variety than versatility, although let me say imo Nagato is the second most versatile ninja out there. I'd give reasons for saying that but I don't want to write a whole wall of text.

He's versatile in a sense, but hardly the most versatile when you consider that the basic Rinnegan techniques are all he uses, and that there are several other Rinnegan users with more varied skill sets out there. Like Madara, Obito, Sasuke, etc.

The rinnegan jutsus have never been named six path jutsu.

That confirms the origin of the human path is the Rinnegan's and the jutsu belongs to it (possessive S). The human path is one of the 6 paths. Therefore the 6 paths are from the Rinnegan. The problem is ningendo is called a Rinnegan jutsu in the databook and listed as one of the paths of pain. That makes it clear where it originates from Rinne or not has no bearing on it.

Nagato needed the human paths for it, literally a paralel to Naruto needing clones to do the Rasengan.

From what we have seen, Uchihas need none of that but it also left to show what is the extend of Sasuke proficiency with it but my assumption would be that he fully masters the Rinnegan he has and what it allows.

Thats not true... when edo nagato fought bee and naruto and almost negged them before itachi rescued them....

nagato was able to use all the rinnegan techs just as himself

True but you forget the Mezo makes Nagato his bitch he'll never be like Tobi, Obito or Madara who aren't affected by the Mezo.

The Mazo Obito used already had 7 bijuu inside it so it didn't need to suck on Obito's chakra and life force.

Nagato summoned an empty statue so it leached on his life force and chakra.

Madara powered the mazo with a hashirama clone he created from Hashi's cells and fed on that life force to susain himself.
