Yes he even stated that he can switch place with obito while he has a sage mode of hashi, then he can stop him that way, but things are always goes in plan against the outcome.....he remains and comply to his planned accordingly while he is not serious on battle to hashirama...by utilizing his tactic/keen observation he can telepathy command black zetsu's cells in obitos body on vulnerable state in favor of maddy's disposal...

My point is, upon knowing that naruto and the rest can make obito in vulnerable state he has still has a back-up plan by stealing and utilizing sage mode from hashi......

Madara can use his Rinnegan to stop those black rods from reaching the ground, and Obito has to go touch the ground to get the tree off, leaving him vulnerable for an attack. Even then the tree has to grow and bloom before it can shoot off TBBs, cutting it down before it gets to that point should be a viable counter.

Not saying Madara wins though but he can at least counter that.

well thats not actually true for pre-jin current madara being stronger than juubito, madara has intent, and desire to win by any means and was going all out to achieve his goal obito had all that power but was unsure of himself and was questioning his actions which why naruto was able to tnj him, the same thing happened to nagato in the tree, he started questioning the choices he has made and then he was tnj


sheer overall power juubito solo's a tbb easily destroys alive madara, but it is very likely madara would have beaten juubito had they fought because of the reasons i mention but not because he was more powerful

also if im not mistaken that tree will be trying to suck up madara's chakra so madara will be trying to cut down the tree while trying to avoid being drained to death and having to fight juubito at the same time
