Some bamboos dont need much sunlight though...

Well Byakugan and Sharingan are just different branches of the same tree, they're both related to eachother and the Rinnegan. Also Bamboo doesn't need much sunlight, they used to use bamboo as torture by growing it under a human until it starts to grow right through him or her.

With any plant, there is a requirement for more sunlight when you plant it under the right conditions. The roots will grow bigger and require more photosynthesis from up top to make the nutrients for them and the rest of the tree.

I just simply tried to connect Hyuuga (that's what I do and live for, btw) to Ootsutsuki, since I said that I just read something about the Hyuuga.

Any plant will do, and Kishi simply used the "ootsutsuki," which seems to pertain to big bamboos, which is definitely a plant, that definitely needs sunlight.

And I also do agree with him, sort of.

No humor attempt after you said above i tried make a connection was non-successful .
Kishimoto use lot of Japanese folktales sometimes you can find connections sometimes don't .
