I just noticed it but Madara actually never noticed Gaara

I'm just wondering why Gaara didn't do more during the fight. While Naruto was still around, he yanked Madara out of susanoo by the foot opening him up to attack. Why didn't he just repeatedly do this when the other kage were around? Would've probably made for a much easier fight.

He should have just sand coffin'd that ******* after he pulled him out then slapped a seal on it real quick. Would have made everyone's day a lot easier.
