I just finished Hunter x Hunter Anime

I was so pissed about that, I waited years to start reading assuming I'd get towards the end right?(I had only heard that hxh was awesome and all that stuff, never looked into it at the time) and BAM! It's on an undetermined hiatus. The manga is amazing, the waiting, not so much

It's all about opinions. But come one now. I've watched both, and i watched Naruto first. There's no point in comparision. Even Kishimoto took a lot elements from it.

The characters in HxH are original and multidimensinal. In naruto, it's lke: Naruto (sasuke i love you), Sasuke (i hate the world), Sakura (Heeelp), Obito (Rin rin rin rin). Their development is linear and predictable.

Hunter x Hunter is considered to be the best Shonen by a lot of people, while Naruto is a joke.

Reading the Manga is like digging your own grave. You get hooked.. but end in despair wwhile waiting and waiting for the hiatus to end.
Go with the Anime ending and have those great memories for the rest of your life.

HXH's story is stodgy compared to Naruto, and it would be called the best by some. And the characters are vanilla in HXH too; no less linear or predictable either.

Most mangas including HXH have their redeeming points though.

Sorry english is not my first language so i don't get what you mean with vanilla.

But if you're suggesting that Hunter Hunter's characters are linear and predictable, i highly suggest you read the manga again paying more attention.

And the story is stodgy because of all the elements it carries. It's not simply a combat manga, it's way more complicated than any other shonen i've read.
