The special was awesome~~ and the design for Hancock in the special was Kawaiiiiiiiii
but She seemed so underpowered. Rem that time she used Haki in the special? Nope she did not. She seemed mostly dependant on her devil fruit and not even Using CoO to predict attacksZzz or traps

and luffy going from getting speed blitz with x10 speed to matching 100 fold speed in an hour thats fairy tail lvs of Nakama Power :eww:
World was awesome though wonder why He dint Use his fruit to Get Bigger and move faster Same time could of been bigger than Gear 3rd !!! His Df was so OP. Mihawk Solos though ~~~
Any other thoughts on the special?

The Nakama power didn't really bother me much... I mean it would if that was a recurring asspull way to make Luffy stronger, but Oda really doesn't do that often. So I personally thought it was fine. That was the entire point of the movie anyway, Luffy learning how to use CoO... he had to learn to use it at some point. You should've seen it coming from the beginning of the movie, if that was surprising to you then... idk what to say.

And none of the holes pierced him. They just pierced his super huge shorts. The spikes that actually hit his body didn't even pierce him which isn't surprising.

I understand what you mean, and me too, usually i don't mind about it and Oda rarely does such things, BUT i believe it's because of World's strength which made Luffy's victory looked a lot for plotwise.

The reason was the long distance between World's and Luffy's powers. Luffy was just about to learn haki practices, while World was the strongest man among Level 6 escapees (noted the escapees part) to the point he needed to be frozen. If would be more acceptable if Luffy had shown some extras durability in his fight against World without being too much fodderised by that veteran, AND so the willpower would be more sensible as the last push to Luffy's winning.

It explained why less people questioned Luffy's victory over Sir Crocodile long ago. He won with his strength and struggle (3 times near-death battles with him), while driven by his annoyance towards that ex-Shichibukai.

OT: I believe it was non canon too. If you read the interview, the production team was the one came up for the idea and asked Oda to design an antagonist. They wanted a character that could be said as the strongest man of anything or something. Blame the director for the little 'meh' plot hehe However it still good & awesome, overall. Enjoyable!
