We have more or less seen the movie recap in manga form with a few changes.

Among them Momoshiki having given Boruto a diamond mark in the inside/palm of his hand. Among reasons Momo gave was for defeating a god.
That diamond is likely the source of his tattoo.
A tattoo that Kawaki seem to have too.

Its worth it reading the manga version of the movie imo, due to a few changes. Extra indo stuff like the mentioned diamond but also just in general. F.e. Momoshiki has a different look in the manga when he absobs Kinshiki (who doesnt offer himself this time) and transforms.
