Does the infamous game clock reset myth really work in Final Fantasy IX?
I searched this particular glitch in Gamefaqs, but nothing came up. I am sorta getting desperate. I screwed up my game, you see. I'm on disc II with thirty five hours of game play already. I just found out moments ago that in order to acquire the Excalibur II (Steiner's ultimate sword), you'll need to reach a certain area in Disc 4 in under twelve hours. Being the RPG completionist that I am, it kinda bothered me a little bit (huge) that I am not gonna be able to acquire every secret item in the game. My friend just informed me online that if I play the game and reached about a hundred hours of gameplay, the gameclock would reset itself back to zero.... and, in theory, this 'trick' should grant me access to the Excalibur II later in disc 4. Anyone tested this method out?
I am playing this on my PS3 in high definition.
