Well it came to One Piece I really didn't want to start reading it online and looking at crappy translations or ugly scans especially the beginning so I waited. I'll get volumes 1-6 then, it wouldn't feel right leaving them out.
I don't blame you. Most online scans of earlier chapters of most series aren't so great. Anyways, have fun with OP.

Fishmanbisland starts in volume 61 and 62

What you read was Arlong Park Arc

And yes I recommend you read from the beginning

Glad you're reading the actual volumes, the online scans suck in comparison

Also, OP just keeps getting better and better, the real story starts on chapter 100 (titled "the legend begins"), what you read was still set up, if you like Arlong Park you're gonna LOVE One piece.

Also, avoid spoilers (don't look at any avatars or sigs in this section) and enjoy the story :)
Ah, I see. I got confused there when it came to arcs. Sorry about that. And man I'm ready for One Piece now since Naruto ended, I'm ready for that OP greatness.

You can either resume it from there and catch the previous ones later, or read it from the beginning. But i solely recommend you to read it from the start. Not only it's for the set up scenes before they enter the Grandline, but also for the characters' introductions and development.

More bonus on cover pages, since most of the times Oda tells any related character through the cover pages alone.

Also, good luck in your One Piece voyage :bouncy: If you want fun facts, read the SBS and you can also find the trivia in any one piece forum on the internet, where fans gradually unveil numerous puns, foreshadow scenes, hindsight, hidden words/characters/Pandaman and specific significations Oda put in the manga. Oda is quite cunning, you'll eventually see that.
