Why are women oppressed not given equal rights within your religion?


In other words, what led your people to believe that men are superior to women?



I hear it all the time, women are treated as commodities, sold off to some 50 or 60 year old guy before they've even reached puberty. Forced to bear his children.

Barred from educating themselves, condemned if they seek it.

Not allowed to speak out, forever cloaked in their veils.


Why such oppression?





Men are born from women. They spend 9 months inside a woman's belly. Women are practically our Gods.

Dear god, you people read the wrong stuff

Islam is in no way mistreating women, and what you say isnt completely false, but it isnt true either.

Women being sold, and deprived from education, is actually prohibited by Islam, and I cant deny the fact that there are dumbasses who do that, but they are only a few bunch of tribal nomads who only hold the religion in title, and by not following it correctly.

People seem to misunderstand us, and I believe its our fault. We dont give much time to tell people about our religion, and because of whats happening with this world, it has turned people into stereotypes.
One of Islam's true purposes is to unlock the universes mysteries, and wonder upon what God has created.

We encourage education, as that we were ordered by our guiding prophet to seek knowledge wherever we can.

Not all religions are like that. There are some that practice total equality and selflessness. The world could learn a thing or two from religions like that.

Even if it's not real, a persons faith can be a powerful thing. If he or she has the right morals and attitude they can have a positive impact on others. If religion can teach someone to give their best to others, then there is nothing better in the world.
