Well, I have to say this was a very interesting debate. Two of the most disliked nominees in U.S. history finally go head to head. This was a historical occasion when you think about it.
I mutually dislike both candidates with a burning passion and I have criticized both. Obviously I have my own personal qualms with Clinton due to her completely dicking over Bernie Sanders.
However, seeing both of them on the same stage and being able to compare them side by side, Trump is a ****ing embarrassment to this nation. He is a bumbling idiot.
The ENTIRE debate, he couldn't form a cohesive point, he went off-tangent, and could not give any specifics or solid answers to anything. It was always vague and just repetitive. He just rambled on about nothing and I literally dozed of.
It's like listening to someone explain why 2+2 actually results in 5 and not 4, then proceeds to give me the dumbest explanation imaginable.
Yes, he did have a few zingers, such as his point about Clinton not doing anything in 30 years if she had ideas for policy x, y, and z. But it was only in like the first 15 minutes of the debate. After that, he proceeded to get his ass handed to him.
I honestly can't see how ANYONE thinks he's fit to be president.
Now, as for Clinton. She obviously won mostly on the part of being able to name specifics and the fact that she's debating an Orangutan. She definitely took most of Bernie's Sander's talking points and applied to her debate and even though she still appeared robot and not very genuine, she did make herself out to be more sympathetic than Trump.
However, if you actually know politics and global issues in general, there were moments when I just shook my head and went "Yup, there is that Hawkish Hillary." One example was her saying that we needed to be even more vigilant in our airstrikes against ISIS.
Now, for those of you who don't know, our Airforce used over 30,000 bombs against ISIS and virtually NONE of them worked. The Airforce was literally on a shortage of bombs. The reason is that unlike Al Qaeda, which has its bases in caves an whatnot; ISIS is more of a gorilla warfare group, which means that they hide among civilians and in populated areas.
That means bullets and bombs cause collateral damage, which adds to the problem.
Also Hillary bringing up Russia was just a bad idea. That was really stupid on her part. But luckily for her, Trump is an idiot.
Regardless, anyone who took the time to listen to each candidate, there is no doubt that Hillary decimated Trump. There were definitely more better points she could have brought up though such as Trump wanting to wipe out entire families in the middle and him bringing back torture even if it doesn't work.
As for Trump, if he kept hammering her on her emails and corruption, then I think he would have done better. But instead it was all about glorifying himself about being the greatest businessman in history and that "facts don't apply to me because I know I'm right."
I have a lot more to say, but I don't think people will really read through walls of text, so I'll just end my rant here.
Oh and my favorite Trump logic:
"If we took Iraq's oil, ISIS would not be a problem."
Yes, invading a country for no reason and stealing their resources is definitely a winning strategy in ensuring that there will be no hard feelings. ****ing TREMENDOUS!
