agreed i think itachi admires naruto, and to be honest i have no reason or proof to believe this, but i think itachi admired minato and the way he sacrificed himself for naruto and konoha and itachi walked a very similar path to minato imo

He admires him because of his strong will and his love for the village, Naruto isn't anywhere near Itachi's level in other terms.
